btw….how abt you guys change the way we download from hotfile…the file gets downloaded to a server, where then the user is given about 1-2 hours to download the file before it gets deleted…that way, its all direct downloads…but from this server…i think some1 did mention this before..if am not mistaken

Yeah..I think all of you are right about that..But to me, its not that RP being targeted while others not…maybe the other site using other method such as some of you says..they download to their own server and have a time before it is being deleted for hotfiles…

I am having problems using the publicleech.org website. I am able to generate premium links for megaupload everytime I place a valid and working link but whenever I try to download the file I wanted to using a download manager, it keeps on saying that the file I wanted to get is only 87 bytes, regardless of the original file size I wanted to get. Kindly post your comments on this website so that many people can benefit from your reply. Thanks a lot!

Hey, Is anyone else that has a premium account getting this error message when downloading a hotfile link?

“Account for the specified host, does not exist
The link you entered is probably dead
No links entered/No links generated”

I’m scared that hotfile is attacking the premium servers now… Which would suck if hotfile had to be dropped, but I understand that as of now there really isn’t a way around it (unless each hotfile account uses about the same bandwidth of a normal user 20 – 40 GB per day on average…) I always tried to use hotfile instead of rapidshare since the cost of rapidshare bandwidth is so high.

Anyway I’m sure hotfile checks any account that uses over a certain bandwidth per day. And I have a feeling when the new hotfile public accounts went up using only 160 GB per day in bandwidth, they checked the IP address and saw that it was linked to rapid premium and then closed the accounts based off of “sharing”… So I was thinking if the blog and sites were using one IP address but the IP of the server that actually grabs the files from hotfile used an unrelated address so it doesn’t link the server to this service, and instead of a login page saying P W N I N G W A I T T I M E S and stuff, make it look like an ordinary site until the user logs in… Sorry that may sound pretty dumb but I just have a feeling that since hotfile has public’s IP address, I’m sure every time hotfile service is used, it probably throws up a red flag and then they ban the account.

What Happen to the site……..
I cannot download more than 1 file at a time…
I cannot Que-it-up it says that the file is 87 bytes…
And the banbwidth i get is only 26-30 Kbps…

Check now, you should be able to download more links. For bandwidth you need to use a download manager.

budjang, the megaupload links will keep on doing that.. can’t help it.. dont use RP for MU, it is sucha hassle because everytime you resume download, you have to generate a new link and then also most times it will keep getting timed out.

So in a nutshell, MU on RP sucks, for public downloaders of course. RP is only for premium downloaders now.. pity really, they have forgotten the reason for thier success… Anyway, with HF gone and MU so bad, what do we use RP for? i hope they get FF in..

The reason MU links didn’t work because the server timed out, I just rebooted the server and it should take care of the issue. If we just cared about premium downloaders, why would publicleech even exist?

I still use RP for mu. It would be very nice to see adding RS. It is all right you add some limits. But now there seem to have no premium linkgens for RS and especially HF.
