You have to try that on the public downloader, which is http://public.rapidpremium.net. If you still can’t get it working, I am afraid I can’t help you any further.

Quick question, Hamza, if I buy an account am I obligated to be the only one using it? I’m at university and a friend shares his seedbox with a bunch of people (including me) and I think it might be nice if I could repay the favor with an alternative if we can’t find torrents of what we want, but can find the files on other sites.

We don’t really allow sharing accounts. By that, I mean to say, sharing your account access info.

However, the way you describe your need, I’d say, you could do it such that if you guys share a seedbox, you can ask them what they need downloaded and you could download it on the server/seedbox for them, instead of giving them the access details. That way, you’re paying back the favor, without sharing your account and violating our TOS

I too have sharing problem with my housemate.
Last time,i used his rapidleech for download,but now i want to repay back so i will buy this service.

Since cannot sharing account,i plan to take the generated link and then download it to his rapidleech..

The problem is the rapidleech cannot download the file instead it give 45kb file.

Oh and yes, extensions are possible. I’ll be putting up a PayPal button on the ‘Show Account Info’ page (once you’re logged in, you can see it) and that’ll allow you to extend your account.

Same process. Decide on an extension period (1 month, 3 month, 6 month), enter your username, pay, and we’ll manually extend it as soon as we verify payment

What is the speed of download for rapidhare files?
What is the maximum size per file to download in rapidshare?
The speed download is constant or in the evenings and mornings varies?

The speed of the download depends on a variety of factors. Namely, speed of your own connection, server load (generally low), latency issues between server and rapidshare from the time you download. But most of the time it’ll be decent speed. In fact, if I were not wrong, I would say you would max out your connection.

We don’t have size limits. You can do 40 files per day from Rapidshare. From other hosts, no. of files is not limited. Infinite.

Speed is usually constant.

The address, http://premium.rpnet.biz is our own site. It’s just on a different domain to enhance reliability.

It is possible that you are using a dynamic ip address and someone in that group has already finished up all the limit but ONLY Rapidshare are limited so mind if you elaborate more on the limit? Other file host should not have any limits

Rapidshare bandwidth is the most expensive, we had to impose a reasonable limit for it. We allow all other hosts as unlimited, and it’s highly improbable you won’t find what you’re looking for in other hosts.

Rapidshare works fine on the premium server. Public server has no accounts.

My understanding of Rapid premium is this, pay for the rapid premium account and this will allow you to download from rapidshare, hotfile and a load others as a premium user.

The file is downloaded onto the rapid premium servers then from there to your pc.

Is that correct?

I don’t believe we’ll be coming up with a lifetime account. RP has an ongoing expenditure to maintain. The concept of a lifetime account is such that we’re required to serve you for ‘lifetime’ for a one off payment.

While the concept appears to be great, for the user. It’s not very viable for the service, itself. And in most cases (with the exception of a fair few) a lot of scams and/or businesses who know they won’t last for long, would do that. We won’t be offering it, simply because we intend to continue for a very long time, and we also need to plan such.

Clearly, you’ve ignored all costs. What you just outlined was the revenue. Where’s the consideration for the costs?

Server: $150 a month
Premium Accounts: ~$200 a month (Rapidshare being the most expensive one to maintain)

That’s a negative $350. Leaving us with a profit of $200 ($209, but i’ve deducted paypal fees on every transaction).

Atm, we pay for the public server, and the BETA server, all outta our pockets (personal earnings). Every bit of profit, we’ll use it to initially cover costs for Public, then Beta. And then, we plan to expand Public with another server.

Oh and yep, we’re not stopping at 70. Besides, after expansions, if we’re left with any ‘residual net profit’, we’ll gladly consider it a ‘take home pay’. I am not sure how things work in your case, but I do believe we deserve some payback for all the time and money we’ve invested in this entire venture. And still are investing!

I’ve noticed lately that in this past week that hotfile and rapidshare files give the error message “Download size reports as zero, exiting.” Its not all of them but more like half of the links. And when they actually come up to download they are only a few bytes in size. It’s only happened last friday night and Saturday morning, and last night and this morning. I just hoping its just a server issue and hope that it’s not Hotfile or Rapidshare trying to mess up your service!
