There’s nothing wrong with RS. As of right now, it’s just too expensive to support. We hope to raise some finance from the premium area so we can improve the public.

We just don’t want to take the advertisement approach and bombard our users with tons of ads, spyware, etc. That’s a NO NO in our policy

Yes. 40 links a day. As of right now, we’re implementing limits on Hotfile. It’s a testing phase though. We need to keep an eye on usage and adjust or remove limits based on that. Expect complete/final adjustments within a week.

That’s the next change that we’re going to code. Problem is, doing that requires a LOT of core code changes. We’ve always limited based on links, and now we’re changing the entire tracking.. so it’ll take a while. But it’s under way and should be implemented real soon

I generated a bunch of links from hotfile but when i give them to IDM for batch download, it only downloads html files saying

“IP Mismatch. Please regenerate link from usercp”..

but it works if i copy paste each link in a browser tab.. is this a bug.. or am i doing something wrong ?

For some reason, when you download with IDM, it triggers an IP mismatch. Basically, when you try to download from IDM, the IP address that you have is different from the IP you had when you were downloading.

I’ve made a slight adjustment, so I guess you should NOT get that error message anymore. However, if you DO get an error message, contact me using the Contact Us link and I’ll see what we can do about it for you.

However, we’re still testing it. We’ll make a few changes based on usage in about a week. I really hope that we can remove that limit. Although that may be a bit difficult to do, given the fact that HF has transparent bandwidth limits.

Avana… use Firefox or Google Chrome. This error is reported to appear in IE.

Also, if you get that undefined error, clear your cookies (or delete any cookies related to publicleech) and then reload our page. Login again, and try again. It should work.

hmmmm,, this looks annoying one but is better than nothing..I guess.. however.. i hav been wondering if I got 100 links prepared for hotfile, and that day i generate them, but unexpectedly im only downloaded half of the links (50%) on that day.. so the question that troubles me, how about another half links? can i download them? on the next day? bcoz i know its limited 140gb/day… and i also know that your server will reset right after u reset it again your bandwidth…

One HF account is limited to 140gb/day. So, we have a total capacity of about 560gb/day. It’s just that I never expected the capacity to run out this quick. In about 12 hours we’ve run out of all accounts, I believe. Although I’ll ask Dman about what we can do.

That said, yes. If you generate 40 links, and download 20. You can re-generate the remaining 20 next day and download them without using next day’s quota of 40.

I’m glad you guys came up with a way for hotfile to work for public. Also I’ve never seen anyone put so much effort into a free service before! You guys are really doing an amazing job. And I can’t believe people are complaining about the HF link limit! As a premium user I could see getting a little mad if there was no more room for me to download HF links, but for public, since it’s free and without ads, I just can’t believe people complain! And I can’t believe that public alone went through 560Gb in 12 hours. I can’t imagine what your bandwidth costs are (with the public, premium, and beta servers)!

Keep up the good work guys and I can’t wait for the BW limits in RS premium instead of links!

hello everyone, i just want to share of my problem to all of you, and if u know it, please do tell, currently i live in malaysia and use Digi broadband for internet access and use FDM downloader for download .. worst… my area connect only EDGE. I even not using proxy while downloading

here is my problem:
when im start downloading in my country, its fine but when it comes to 99% file downloaded, they start to stop… and can’t continue, whats the problem arh? but when i connected with free wi-fi such as starbucks, and start to continue again thats 99% file downloaded it continues with no problem, I wonder if that was mmy broadband problem or something else?

Hotfile is working again. YESSSSSSSS. And the conversion is fast too. Could i suggest on your “THIS PAGE LISTS YOUR CURRENT/TOTAL LIMITS”

Instead of making all the letters color red, why not make “You can not download any link(s) from Rapidshare” color red. Then “You can download infinite more link(s) for Megaupload.” color blue. That way, its so much easier for the visitor to check which sites he can use or not just by looking at the colors. Is that ok? I hope you consider it.

I have just bought a 1 month subscription. I tried downloading files from different File sharing system (HF, MU, RS..etc)… But every time I tried downloading I get “IP Mismatch.
